Overview

Proximetry Poland ltd. is a  software manufacturer and a R&D branch of an American company Proximetry Inc. The flag product of the company is AirSync™, a high quality management system enabling dynamic management and control of heterogenic wireless networks. The newest version of AirSync™ is a platform supporting the creation of new applications and services based on the idea of Internet of Things – IoT, where digital devices and real-life objects communicate with each other.

AirSync™ was designed in the SaaS (Software as a Service) model in order to fulfil the requirements of Internet of Things, both when it comes to system scalability and data security. The architecture of the system enables the service of heterogenic networks consisting of millions of devices, while a web user’s interface makes it possible to manage such a network from any given location via a laptop, tablet or smartphone.

We are currently seeking candidates for the following post:

IT Systems Administrator

 

Job description:

The person hired will join a team of engineers responsible for administration of AirSync™ system installation in a cloud as well as development and maintenance of the company’s ICT infrastructure. The key field of competence covers Linux family systems administration as well as theoretical and practical knowledge of computer networks.

In particular the duties include as follows:

  • supervision of proper functioning of AirSync™ system services installed in a public cloud (Amazon AWS, Azure, Cloud Foundry and others) and datacenter environment
  • administration of computer equipment and IT systems
  • development and maintenance of device lab and IoT network.

 

Requirements:

  • education in IT, telecommunication, electronics or similar
  • knowledge of Linux and Windows
  • knowledge of virtualization platforms (VMWare, Xen Server, Open Stack)
  • knowledge of computer networks
  • experience in creating layer scripts
  • good command of English
