As a co-founder of Proximetry in early 2005, Mr. Trent sought to introduce software techniques to make standards-based wireless networks vastly more predictable and robust. Mr. Trent brings close to 20 years of senior technology experience to Proximetry, with the past ten years focused on wireless and other networking technologies.
Prior to founding Proximetry in 2005, Mr. Trent was president and CEO of Vytek/Stellcom, which subsequent to an acquisition became the solutions division of CalAmp (Nasdaq: CAMP). During his five-year tenure at Stellcom, Inc., Mr. Trent led a team of professionals focused on the rapid development and integration of mobile/wireless technologies.
Mr. Trent’s previous experience includes serving as the senior vice president and group manager of SAIC’s e-Business Solutions organization. In this role, Mr. Trent managed a number of SAIC’s emerging e-commerce businesses, including the Automotive Network eXchange (ANX), a networking solution for the automotive industry. Prior to that, Mr. Trent was the group manager of SAIC’s health solutions organization, which provided systems integration and consulting services to some of the nation’s leading health providers. Mr. Trent initially joined SAIC in 1993, serving as the vice president of marketing for its systems integration organization.
Before joining SAIC, he held business development roles at Digital Equipment Corporation and Sun Microsystems with a significant emphasis on support to government and other public-sector solution providers.
Mr. Trent holds a Master’s degree in Management of Technology from MIT’s Sloan School of Management.
Mr. Arnett brings more than 20 years of strategic finance and operations experience to Proximetry. Before joining Proximetry, he was chief financial officer and vice president of business development for Keylime Software, a venture-funded internet ASP in the website analytics space.
Prior to Keylime Software, Mr. Arnett was chief operating officer of Quake Wireless, a leading provider of equipment and technology to the Orbcomm low-earth-orbit satellite network and vice president of corporate development for TriTeal Corporation, a publicly-traded enterprise software company.
Mr. Arnett is also a veteran technology investment banker, spending 14 years on Wall Street with Paine Webber and Kidder Peabody. Mr. Arnett is a graduate of the University of Southern California with a degree in Finance and Business Economics.
Yair Bourlas comes to Proximetry with over ten years of experience in broadband wireless access.
Prior to joining Proximetry, Mr. Bourlas was a principal system engineer for NextWave; a holding company whose subsidiaries develop and market mobile multimedia and wireless broadband products.
Mr. Bourlas actively participated in the IEEE 16 standard development and has more than 15 patents related to broadband wireless technology.
He is a graduate of the University of Manitoba with a degree in Electrical Engineering.
Vijay Ujjain leads the product management group at Proximetry where he is responsible for Proximetry’s AirSync product roadmap. He led the efforts on Smart Grid Security architecture, standards compliance and also a complete network design that includes a multi-mode wireless system. Mr. Ujjain has over 15 years of experience with design and integration of various wireless systems including LTE, WiMAX, 802.11/Wi-Fi and low power sensor networks.
Before joining Proximetry, Mr. Ujjain held senior system engineering role at On-Ramp wireless where he helped with system design for low power sensor networks and defined a MAC scheme. Prior to that, Mr. Ujjain was at Freescale Semiconductor where he contributed to the development of 3GPP LTE standards, managed feature development and interoperability test plans with internal engineering groups and infrastructure partners. He has extensive experience characterizing and troubleshooting problems with wireless broadband networks, security issues and protocols.
Mr. Ujjain holds a Master’s degree in Telecommunications from the University of Louisiana, Lafayette, LA.
Mr. Ossysek comes to Proximetry with more than 15 years of experience in the commercial software development industry. Before joining Proximetry in 2006, Mr. Ossysek was working for the Institute of Electronic, Silesian University of Technology, where he was involved in research activities in Electronic Design Automation area. In 1993, he joined Aldec - EDA software company (Henderson NevadaUSA) - he held several positions: group manager, QA manager and then was President of Aldec-ADT (Katowice).
Today, Mr. Ossysek is responsible for the performance and overall success of Proximetry Poland. He qualifies new architecture solutions while managing a group of more than 60 employees working with the latest in WiFi and WIMAX technology.
Mr. Ossysek received an MS degree in Electronic Equipment from Silesian University of Technology in Gliwice, Poland.
