Wireless and Telecom Veterans Join Technology Leader in Real-Time Management Solutions for Wireless Networks

Thornley has been appointed to the board of directors. In addition, Carlton O'Neal has joined the company as vice president of marketing and business development. Together they bring nearly 50 years of telecom, wireless, and broadband industry experience to Proximetry to propel the company forward.
A retired former president and chief operating officer of Qualcomm, Thornley also previously held various financial and information systems management positions with Nortel Networks, including vice president finance and IS for Public Networks, vice president finance for NT World Trade, and corporate controller for Nortel Limited. "With the rapid growth and proliferation of wireless networks, Proximetry's core technologies are in great demand and I am looking forward to working with the management team to help the company succeed in the market," said Thornley.
O'Neal most recently served as vice president of marketing at Alvarion, the worldwide leader in broadband wireless and WiMAX, and is a broadband wireless pioneer instrumental in the founding of the WiMAX industry in the mid 1990s. Prior to that, he was vice president of marketing and business development for Ensemble. These individuals complement an already strong team of industry veterans led by president and chief executive officer Tracy Trent, formerly CEO of Stellcom a company focused on the rapid development and integration of mobile wireless technologies and ultimately acquired by CalAmp. Prior to that he was a senior executive at SAIC. Other executive management members include James Arnett, chief financial officer and former CFO of both Keylime Software and Quake Wireless; Michael Boehm, vice president of product development and former chief software architect of ViewSonic's advanced technology group; and Walter Buga, chief technology officer and a world-class network management scientist and former chief technology officer at Netstream who started his career with Bell Labs. Jim Laccabue, who previously held sales positions at SupportSoft and Tivoli and has more than 20 years of experience in network management software sales, has joined the company as director of sales.
